The National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) held its first Staff Durbar at the organisation’s headquarters in Accra. The purpose of the durbar was for management to interact with employees and address key concerns.

Major (Rtd) Dr. Joseph Bikanyi Kuyon, Director General of NADMO, in his opening address, called for staff to uphold a positive attitude and commitment to their work while acknowledging the invaluable sacrifices and contributions of staff in managing disasters.

Celebrating this year’s international day for disaster risk reduction in Ghana, the National Disaster Management Organisation with its partners, Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO), the Africa Youth Advisory Board for Disaster Risk Reduction, and the UNESCO Office in Accra-Ghana, marked this year’s celebration with a competitive but a very educative quiz competition across three zones in the country.
