NADMO BOSS VISITS SAWLAWURA

He was accompanied by the Deputy Director for Technical, Mr. Ahmed-Rufai Aggudey; the Director of Man-Made Disasters, Mr. Maxwell Niber; the Director for Inspectorate, Mr. Amo Yartey; and the Regional Director, Mr. Mahama Zakaria.

Welcoming the delegation, the Sawlawura expressed appreciation for the visit and the Director General’s concern for the welfare of his people.

Major (Rtd) Dr. Kuyon noted that although relief items had earlier been dispatched to support victims of the conflict, it was necessary to be physically present to assess the situation firsthand and engage directly with stakeholders.

He further appealed to the chief and traditional authorities to support ongoing efforts to restore peace and normalcy, emphasizing the critical role of traditional leadership in conflict resolution.

The Director General and his team also toured camps where displaced persons are being sheltered.

Addressing the affected communities, he reassured them of the government’s commitment at the highest level to finding a lasting solution to the crisis.

“The President, the Minister for the Interior and all stakeholders are committed to solving the issue amicably for peace to prevail,” he assured, urging displaced persons to remain hopeful and resilient.
