ASHANTI REGION FIRES NADMO TO MEET STAKEHOLDERS
Director-General of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), Hon. Eric Nana Agyemang-Prempeh has said that the organization was working to meet and strategize with the ministries of Housing and Local Government Development to help find a lasting solution to the incessant cases of fire outbreak within the Kumasi Metropolis.
The Ashanti Regional capital, Kumasi, has within the last one week, recorded about five (5) destructive fire cases.
Areas affected included the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Suame Magazine, Aboabo and Dagomba Line.
Properties worth several millions of Ghana Cedis have been destroyed. The various District NADMO teams have so far visited the affected areas to assess the extent of damage.
